SCSI2SD V4 & V5 boards are configured using scsi2sd-util, an open source utility available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. scsi2sd-util is also how firmware updates are performed. SCSI2SD V6 boards are configured using scsi2sd-util6, an open source utility available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

For SCSI2SD Version 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 hardware:
- SCSI2SD-util.exe for 64-bit Windows
- SCSI2SD-util.exe for 32-bit Windows
- SCSI2SD-util version 5.2.10 for macOS (Universal binary, Apple & Intel silicon, for macOS 10.7 (Lion) through 11.0, Big Sur)
For SCSI2SD Version 5.5 hardware:
- SCSI2SD-util.exe for 64-bit Windows
- SCSI2SD-util.exe for 32-bit Windows
